I define beauty as being confident in yourself and comfortable in your own skin...something I'm learning to do. If everyone was beautiful, or the same, it would be boring. How would we know what "beautiful" is, if everyone was it???
Post a picture of something you find beautiful, and something you find ugly and explain the reasoning behind these choices in a paragraph.
I chose the image of the destruction of Hurricane Ike as something ugly because of what it means. This means to me that someone's life has been completely destroyed and they must start over. There is nothing uglier than staring in the face of utter loss.
I chose the picture of the sunrise as beautiful. The gift of a sunrise, beyond its physical beauty, means to us all that we have a new day to begin and all the blessings that go along with that day.

ReplyDeleteI absolutely agree with the posting about a sunrise being beautiful - nothing better than sitting out drinking a hot cup of coffee and watching the sunrise. Hurricane Ike will remain a sore spot with many of us and does lead us to recall ugly memories. You students are doing a great job with your postings. Keep it up. Mr. Evans
