Blog Post #30--"Suspicion"

Do you think Shay has a right to be jealous of Tally?  Why or why not?

No, I don't think Shay has a right no be jealous of Tally.  This is why I was such a tomboy as a teenager; girls are VICIOUS!  As Shay demonstrated...you get in her "territory" as Tally did with David and claws are beared.  Growing up I had a couple very close 'girlfriends' as my Grandma called it.  However, I rarely moved out of my circle because of instances just like this one.

Tally received a gift from David in the chapter that is special.  Have you ever received something that made others jealous as this gift did?  Did your gift have a speical meaning behind it as Tally's had?

I would have to say no to the jealous part, head turning maybe, but no jealousy.  Mainly because growing up my family was on a "get by status" and I never really recieved anything extravagent until adulthood.  My closest example for everyone is a gift I received for my 29th birthday.  My husband, the sweetie he is, bought me what he called a "real" wedding ring.  It's absolutely stunning in a subtle way, which is why I love it.  He said since we got married at 21 and had zero money to show for ourselves right out of college, he wanted to make a big deal out of my 29th birthday...9 years to the date after I said "yes" to his proposal.  The ring has turned a few heads, but I doubt jealousy.  I think the ACT should inspire jealousy.

  1. I like Ronald's thinking on that particular gift. Anyone who was married "young and poor" should find the same joy in showering their loved ones with unique gifts! Thank you for sharing your story, I loved it!
