Respond to the following quote, what does it mean to you?
We don't have to look like everyone else, Tally, and act like everyone else.  We've got a choice.  We can grow up any way we want."

This is displaying the freedom Shay longs for and doesn't have.  She wants a society, as we have, where you have CHOICES, where you make your own choices and be your own voice.  She wants to live in a place where you decide what you look like, do and live...not what she has.
